The Family Health Centre is at the forefront of ensuring primary and comprehensive health care for the people of Kolayad Grama Panchayat. The main objective of this centre is to ensure public health by giving priority to preventive measures along with treatment. (This centre has now been upgraded to a Family Health Centre with state-of-the-art facilities through the 'Ardram Mission' of the Government of Kerala).

Key Objectives

Free and quality treatment: To ensure primary treatment to all the people of the panchayat without financial difficulties.
Immunisation: To take precautions to prevent infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases (lifestyle diseases).
Maternal and Child Health: To provide proper care and complete immunization to pregnant women and newborns.
Health Awareness: To create awareness among the people about cleanliness, personal hygiene and proper diet.
Epidemic Control: Coordinate preventive activities at ward levels to prevent the spread of infectious diseases like dengue fever and leptospirosis.
Palliative Care: Ensure home care for bedridden patients with the help of ASHA workers and nurses.
Health Data Collection: Accurately assess the health status of the people of the panchayat and improve health indicators.
