Veterinary Dispensary (Veterinary Hospital) is a government institution that provides primary health care and treatment to domestic animals and livestock at the local government level. Such dispensaries are functioning in all gram panchayats and municipalities under the Kerala Animal Husbandry Department.
Main Services
Diagnosis and Treatment: OP treatment and distribution of medicines for animals like cows, goats, chickens, dogs, cats etc.
Vaccinations: Vaccination against deadly diseases like Rabies, Kuraladappan, Characharappan.
Artificial Insemination: Artificial Insemination and pregnancy testing to increase productivity in livestock.
Government Schemes: Coordination of calf rearing schemes, subsidized fodder cultivation promotion and livestock insurance.
Awareness: Providing necessary guidelines and training to farmers on scientific animal husbandry.
Working Hours
On regular days from 9 am to 1 pm - 2 pm to 3 pm
On Sundays from 9 am to 12 pm
On other holidays from 9 am to 1 pm
